Østfold University College in Norway conducted a research experiment in which people used standard mobile phones (such as the Nokia 6630) to provide coverage of the historical opening of a new main bridge between Sweden and Norway. The real-time coverage was provided by reporters in "the field" and builds on the concept of citizen journalism.
