Weak ties: theory coming from Mark Granovetters research on how people find jobs. He found that weak ties matter more to people than strong ones in finding work. Other research revealed the importance of weak ties to mobilize resrouces, information, ideas, whether for finding a job, solving a problem or establishing a new enterprise.
